#EquityCellsNow a Campaign by Ambedkar Centre for Action & Research (ACAR) to enforce the UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2026 – gazetted on January 13, 2026. This notification mandates Equal Opportunity Centres (EOCs) in EVERY higher education institutions and Universities. ACAR will write and follow with institutions in Maharashtra to establish #EOCs. The regulations require EOCs to monitor policies for disadvantaged groups, provide counseling, and eradicate caste bias – as stated by Supreme Court in Amit Kumar v. UoI, judgment.
